Phuoc Long province

Phuoc Long is former province of Dong Nam Bo region in South Vietnam. It was formed on October 22, 1956.

History

On January 23, 1959, a part of the Phuoc Long province was split to form the Phước Thành province.
On July 24, 1961, Phước Hòa district was dissolved to establish new district Đôn Luân.
In 1965 Phú Giáo District of the Phước Thành was dissolved into Phuoc Long Province.
In 1976 Phuoc Long province was merged with Binh Duong and Binh Long to form new province Song Be.
